According to Halong Bay Management Board, on the 1st December 2011 Halong Bay entrance fee will be applied after the Decision number 3620/2011/QD-UBND of the Provincial People’s Committees.  The charges are based on routes when visiting Halong Bay instead of previously paid in each location. For example when a visitor takes the route Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, Cho Da island, Ba Hang fishing village, Dinh Huong Islet, Fighting Cocks, Hoa Cuong fishing village, the charge is 80,000 VND (less than 4 $US); Sung Sot cave, Titop island (or Soi Sim island), Me Cung cave, Dong Tien lake, the charge is 90,000 VND (takes a place for overnight, total cost is 130VND); Cultural Center of Cua Van Fishing Village, Tien Ong Cave, Ba Ham lake, stay overnight, the charge is 60,000 VND..    The entrance fees are not applied to children under 6 years old. Children aged from 6 to 15 years old and the elderly (aged 60 years or older) will be charged only a half of the fee.
